Pearadox
It’s pear harvest time on my parent’s farm. I can’t get enough of these, fresh from the tree, Bartlett pears. The mezcal creates a bit of a contrast between the brightness of the pears and the rich smokiness of the mezcal, each balancing the other out into a delicate and complex cocktail with just a hint of spice. Recipe by the Cocktail Maven (https://www.cocktailmavenaz.com/)
- 1.5 oz Tequila Avion Reposado
1/2 oz Ancho Reyes
1/4 oz Monte Lobos Joven Mezcal
1/4 oz Clear Creek Distillery Pear Brandy
1/4 oz agave syrup
½ fresh pear cut into pieces
Muddle pear, agave and tequila.
Add the rest of the ingredients with ice.
Stir until chilled double-strain into a coupe glass.
